Dragonknight’s skill trees let you deal fire damage while going for either a tank or DPS role. Going for a Draconic Power build will give you more health regen and armor buffs for a tanking role. Ardent Flame is a DPS skill line with DOTs. Earthern Heart gives you more support options for your group. It is a favorite of ranged Dragonknights. WardenDark Phenix: DK Magic Based Dark Elf: Offers high single target and AOE DPS, thas also very very hard to kill.
Bar 1 (Destro Staff) Singe target DPS: This setup is nigh unstopable in a 1v1 RANGED fight. So long as you keep Scales and Entropy up at all times.
Only Sorc's, the ones that all they do is Shield Stack and Curse + Magica Det +Streak you will be able beat you at range. Thats what Crush and Fossilize are for. Cruch it when its charging Magic Det and Fossilize while his Shields are low to throw him off his rotation. If he lives past a few rotations he'll get wise to your game plan if/When it does swap to bar 2.
Bar 2 (Resto Staff) Offers Good AOE DPS with a lot of health regen. At first glance you might wonder "WTF is Regen doing for me here?". Its simple, Coag Dragon Blood + Elder Dragon + Burning Heart + Resto Master + Champ Points And Rapid Regen gives my VR14 (has +44% healing taken and 45% Health regen on bar 2) 2k Life PER SECOND not including the 33% of my missing health when Dragons blood is cast. Combine that with Draw Essence and Buring Talons (so they cant get away) and you can regen very very fast. While dealing decent DPS and Draining Stamina away every time they try to break free. If they do manage to get away from you OR if for some reason your about to die, F Leap is right there giving you 6 seconds to cast Coag D Blood and Rapid Regen. You could be at 1 HP an do the F Leap + Coag D Blood + Rapid Regen and be at full HP well before the 85% of your max HP Leap Shield is gone.
