Elder Scrolls Online PLayable on Playstation 4, Xbox One

Good news for all you console gamers out there, The Elder Scrolls Online is going to be playable on both the PS4 and the Xbox One.

The news came today at E3, along with a new gameplay trailer. Game Director Matt Firor says this is an exciting moment for his team, as a console version of the game has been one of the most frequent requests from players since the game was announced. At this time it is unknown what, if any, changes there will be between the various platforms. This isn’t the first time PC and console gamers have been able to play an MMO together, but hopefully the power and capabilities of the newest generation of consoles will help put them on an even level with the PC version.

Electric Lizards Galore

 

Recently Zenimax held a poll on their Facebook page to see what creature from their upcoming game that players wanted to learn a little more about. The Wamasu of Black Marsh destroyed the competition, which is what you would expect from a electric lizard death machine.

Zenimax has since released a plethora of information about designing the Wamasu; including designing it’s concept art, creating the different particle effects associated with the creature, and even a short video showing off it’s effects.

Ask Us Anything: Variety Pack 4

 

It’s time for yet another edition of “Ask Us Anything”, wherein the developers of TESO answer some of the many questions fans have concerning their upcoming game. This week is another grab bag of information not focused on a specific subject but on various topics. We get to learn a little about armor, crowd control in PvP battles, and whether or not we can expect to see a Dragonborn pop up at some point throughout the game.

The team over at Zenimax Studios is giving players a sneak peek into the Oblivion plan of Coldharbour, realm of Molag Bal, the God of Schemes. The video gives players a glance at some of the different inhabitants that call the realm home, and some small insight into the plans that Molag has in store for Tamriel.

Elder Scrolls Poster Challenge

Do you have some artistic talent? Do you love The Elder Scrolls? Do you want to win some free stuff? Then you’re going to want to take a shot at entering The Elder Scrolls Online Poster Challenge!

The folks over at ZeniMax are looking for some great fan-made posters and want to give away some awesome stuff to those who can bring the best stuff. There has already been some amazing fan art popping up based on the upcoming ESO game, but now the developers are looking for the best of the best to submit their stuff in a proverbial art throwdown. Winners will not only receive some cool swag but they will have their art displayed in ZeniMax studios and at upcoming game events.

All submissions must be free of vulgar, sexual, or copyrighted materials (i.e. characters from other games, product placement, ect.). You can submit one digital copy of your poster to the official ESO Tumblr page using the tag “ESO Poster Challenge” until Friday, May 17th. The poster can be in any style you like, but it must somehow represent ESO specifically. After the submission period ends, The Elder Scrolls Online Community Team and members of the Art Team will review all entries and vote for their top three (3) favorites based on creativity, originality, and technical skill.

Conflict in Cyrodiil, Part 1

Today the developers of ESO revealed what will be the first in a two part series discussing some of the locations you can explore and activites you can participate in while traveling in Cyrodiil. Most of it is your standard RPG fare; you’ll visit different towns and caves, gather crafting resources, and take on quests for the various guilds throughout the land. They also touch briefly on Campaigns, which are quests/events that take place over long periods of time and will reward you with gold, alliance points, and experience. Alliance points can be used to purchase armor and weapons or to advance in several skill lines specific to Cyrodiil.
