Antiquities Leads Locations & Hidden Entry Relics

Elder Scrolls Online antiquities leads locations and hidden entry relics are new things that have come with the Greymoor expansion. The new and fun Antiquities system offers players a minigame, where they first find a lead for an item, and then excavate it. These leads have different-colored rarities, and their progress can be monitored from the Antiquities tab. At first, you can only see them as hidden entries, but once you find and take one of the leads, you can check your progress. The guide below reveals all the hidden lead entry names and their locations.

The green-colored Antiquities leads for any specific map can be found from sources in that particular zone, like treasure map chests, safeboxes, mob drops, nodes, etc. For example, you’ll find Ancestral Orc: Gloves in Alik’r Desert from treasure map chests in that area, and only in that area.

The blue-colored Antiquities leads for a specific map also come from the zone’s item sources (mob drops, chests, nodes, etc.). It’s also crucial to mention that the majority of blue leads come as rewards for excavating the green leads in the same area. For example, you get the Craglorn’s Cracked Serpent Pendant blue lead as a reward for excavating Craglorn’s green lead – Watcher’s Ritual Stone.

The purple-colored Antiquities leads for a specific map come as a drop from all item sources, but not only on that specific map. They can be found on other maps as well. For example, the Alik’r Desert Heartland purple lead can be found in a quest reward chest in Cyrodiil. Just like the blue ones, some of these leads come as a reward for excavating one of those zone’s blue leads. For example, the Northern Elsweyr’s Khajiit Prayer Cloth lead is a reward you get after excavating the blue-rarity Khajiit Plague Mask. It is also worth mentioning that you are more likely to find these leads inside safeboxes than in other sources.

The yellow-colored Antiquities work much the same as the purple ones, but are significantly rarer. They can’t be motifs or treasure, but only come as furnishing and mount types. It’s unclear at the moment, but it doesn’t seem that they have a high chance of dropping as a reward for excavating the purple leads. What is specific for them, however, is they seem to have a higher drop rate from delve bosses.

The orange-colored Antiquities are the rarest ones. The highest drop chance for these leads come from the delve and public dungeon bosses, and they are not specifically tied to the zone in which you get them. For example, you can find the Khenarthi’s Roost Bloodlords Embrace lead from a random boss in Imperial Sewers.

Another thing that’s important to note: The leads for Antiquities locations that have Ancestral in the name, the motif ones, come from Treasure Map Chests. The leads for Antiquities that have Antique Map in the name, aka the furnishing ones, can be bought from the General Merchants or Inkeeper in Town, or the wandering Merchants on the main roads. For the Antique Maps from the specific zone, you might need the corresponding Pathfinder Achievement completed in order for the specific merchants to start selling the leads. To get the achievement, you’ll need to find and discover all striking locales in a given zone, aka the places of interest with an eye icon on the map.

As you consult the table below, remember that the green treasures are worth 250 gold, the blue ones are worth 1,000 gold, while the purple treasures are worth 5,000 gold.
