Shadow Knight

One of my favorite classes in all mmos is the Everquest/EQ2 Shadow Knight. It is one of the few evil player classes in mmos. The theme is a heavy armor wearing knight of darkness that steals life from enemies and causes terror. Nightblade was a perfect choice. Most morphs were chose to be the Stamina version. Stamina is for damage, though you could put more in Health if you wanted better tanking I suppose; I have never tested this in a group as a tank; it's just a theme build, not necessarily meant to tank in a real group role.

Sorcerer: Solo Leveling Build For beginner

This build is by no means lacking in power but there are others which may offer better raw power if that's what you are aiming for.

Instead, this build is super fun and very safe, means you don't die often. Unless you met a more powerful monster or more monsters than you can chew of, which in any case will kill you anyway.

This build also offers those adventures who prefer to fight alone to survive in the harsh world. It is extremelly good especially in early games. The only requirement for this build to work is you need to wear light armor (all gears) and use only destruction staff. You will see why below.

Distribute your attributes points with this formula M:H:S = 3:1:0. Why not all to Magicka? You will have skills that increase Magicka regeneration, which is more superior than having larger pool. Also, more health means more survivability when you are attacked.

Then follow the skills below. I skip spell 5 because there is really nothing you need at this point, although you may choose any spell you like for 5th. The Ultimate spell you pick should be the Summoning Storm Atronach to help you killing faster while she is taking the damage.

Remember to upgrade fully all these spells/skills as they are you bread and butter which will bring you to over level 20 fast. You will need only 9 skill points for all the spells including the morphs.

The rest of the points goes to Passive and Armor (need 8 points for below). You will need all the passive from all three branches. Here is the order in which you put the points:

Armor to help your Magicka regen as early as possible:
1. Recovery
2. Evocation

Passive
3. Capacitor
4. Unholy Knowledge
5. Rebate
6. Blood Magic
7. Energized
8. Power Stone

Your strategy is very straight forward and simple. Never let the monsters come to you or in case of ranger, keep stunning them. Open with Crystal Shard/Fragments, then use your staff in between Destructive Touch/Clench for stun/knock. When the monster's health is low, kill it with Mage's Fury/Death. Meanwhile, have your Familiar/Clanfear all the time. When Atronach is active, use it often, summon it next to the monster.

High Single Target DPS Sorc

This is the first action bar focused on single target dps. The second bar would focus more on AOE damage. Second bar: Critical Surge, Crystal Fragments, Pulsar, Mages’ Wrath, Inner Light, and Energy Overload.

Tank/support templar

Fairly straight forward build.

bar 1: used for tanking/off tanking.
puncturing sweep: some aoe dmg with a knock-back

toppling charge: a charge with a stun if you need to help your party members.

Radiant aura: i don't put a lot of points into stamina so a HP and SP passive regen with nice active. Can be swapped with immovable brute (or unstoppable(heavy armor active)).

Ransack: op 15 sec taunt + armor buff. This is mandatory, you need to be able to taunt.

Power slam: great single target, close range stun.

Empowering sweep: some nice AOE dmg + armor increase.

Bar 2: This is support oriented

Purifying light: single target dmg buff + a little heal.

Ritual of rebirth: Aoe heals for your party, reduced cast time allows for those WTF moments.

Extended Ritual: nice dispel with another heal must have in every group.

Ring of preservation: HP regen, armor, spell resist, a really good group AOE sprotection spell.

Radiant Aura: Only spell i use in both builds. It's just too nice to leave it out.

Solar Disturbance: I feel there's enough healing in this build already so i prefer the snare this ability provides. It's some nice AOE CC

I use 5 pieces of heavy armor and 2 pieces of light armor. You can gain enough armor through passives and actives. The 2 pieces of light armor also give increased magicka recovery and increased magic resist (recovery and spell warding). It's important to have at least 5 pieces of heavy armor for the bracing passive.

There is a lot of HP regen in this build (especially when you play orc templar) => you will need to watch your magicka use, there are better races for templars but i like orcs so what can i say).

I run one hand and shield with both but remember to have a ranged weapon in your bags for certain encounters.

This build is not ideal for lower lvls cause you need the healing and the CC in this build.

Vampire Templar or Vamplar.

Introduction: A lot of players in game asked me about my build because im vampire. Players dont understand how I can use solar light or i can be vampire templar or Vamplar. Maybe it isn´t common build skill in game but to me works so well in PVE and PVP as well too.
About my build:
I use more Magicka to increase healer and dps. Health and Stamina help me to stay alive more in dps than healer. I play dps/tank using two handed weapon and dps/healer using restoration staff.
W1 Dps/Tank build: Single play. PVE build in PVP as well too.
I use always two handed weapon (Mostly common to find in game)
Vampires Bane and Purifiying light - distance damage like a dps.
Brawler - tank damage. Help you when you have a enemy in front during combat.
Midnight Drain - Vampire damage tank/dps. Help me to restore my live in combat and made damage.
Sanguine Altar - Vampire Health/Health. It give me more live in combat in a small area during a few seconds.
R- Solar Disturbance - Make critical damage at end situatión in combat like a dps.

W2 Healer/Dps build: Group play/ Dungeons. PVP/PVE build.
I use always restoration staff (Not always to find easily in game but I can buy if need)
Rapid regeneration and Haling Springs. To heal 1 to 1 in combat.
Cleansing Ritual and Honor the Dead. To heal area in combat.
Purifying Light. To make damage in combat like a dps
R- Devouring Swarm - Make critical damage at end situation in combat like a dps.

I don´t know if this build is good but help me in game. I hope this build help others to made a vampire templar. Maybe it isn´t common be vampire and templar but sure it´s possible. Good luck and a gretting from me.

Two-handed focus

Two-handed weapon focus made for 1.6 build. First bar is single target focused, and second is an aoe focus. First weapon should be a two-handed sword to take advantage of the increase damage. Second bar should be a mace with armor pen enchant, as it will take advantage of armor bypasses. This is a steam build, but to aoe in this build it needs a couple pieces of heavy to keep you alive. So 5 medium, and 2 heavy. The chest and legs should be heavy to take advantage of the higher armor values. Most attribute points into health with a handful into stamina, and enchant gear with stamina. First bar rotation is silver leash a single mob to you then use unstable flame. Follow this with uppercut, and finish with weaving light attacks with executioner. Apply green dragons blood, and rally (from bar 2) at pull. Second bar rotation is stampede then hit group with flames. Follow up with weaving light attacks with cleave. Ultimate for the first bar takes advantage of increase weapon damage. Second bar ultimate helps reduce incoming damage while in a big group of enemies, and applies a slight damage increase. For mundus stone I went with the Warrior for the weapon damage increase, though a crit build could be easily done as well. Also an option with soft cap removed is stamina increase as well.

Sorc AOE dps Tank/healer whatever...

Fight single/group
Start "Bound Aegis" before fight.
Hit: 1) invasion (charge and knock down enemy)
2) Ransack (decrease enemy armor and increase your own)
3) Boundless storm. Further armor/resist and aoe damage
4) Drop lightning flood at your feet.
Keep boundless storm up and ransack if possible. Don't burn through your magicka too fast.

If things get messy swap to bar (2)
1) Streak out of danger.
2) Cast heals on yourself healing springs/rapid regen.
3) Drop a curse if magicka available.

Swap back to Bar (1) and charge back in!
Build 5 light/2 heavy armor. Max magicka and magic regen.

Still optimizing this. Your armor will be maxed maybe more than needed even in full light armor while buffs hold out anyway. <br/><br/>

Master Archer/Assassin Build -- PVP/PVE

This build combines both the ranged prowess of the archer with the deadly melee skills of an assassin. Early levels will tend to be a little magicka constrained, so management of magicka is key -- especially when using the second slot.

Slot 1 (Archer) revolves around long distance attacks and kiting. Make sure you activate Swallow Soul for healing procs. If you get into trouble, proc your Shadowy Disguise for escape and armor buff. Scorced Earth could be replaced with another skills, but I like it for PVE/PVP Group fights.

Slot 2 (Assassin) revolves around mass single target Disable - DPS. Proc Shadowy Disguise and initiate with Surprise Attack for instant crit, stun, and armor reduction. While target is stunned, proc your Swallow Soul and Rapid Strikes. Target should likely be under 30% health at this point, so proc Killer's Blade. If target is not under 30%, land a few hits first before using Killer's Blade. Magicka management is key here, especially at earlier levels. Having Swallow Soul on the slot is majorly beneficial due to the additional 8% max mana stat.

Dungeon Stam DK (Dual wield/bow) for endgame PVE dungeons

Description:

This build is aimed towards end-game veteran PVE dungeons and could see some use in trials. My goal in this build was to have as many DOTS (Damage over time) as possible to be able to nuke bosses. I have also given this build a range of aoe moves to be able to sweep hordes of enemies in quite a short time. This build is a WIP (work in progress) so be sure to post any advice you might have for me.

Gear:

Now I will tell you guys a bit more on how to gear up with this build. You will need to have 5 pieces of medium armor (hundings rage set), 1 piece of light armor shoulders (Valkyn skoria/ Molag kena/ Engine guardian) and a heavy helmet (Valkyn skoria/Molag kena/ Engine guardian). All of these gearpieces have to be crafted with the divines trait. Using the 5/1/1 setup will grant you the maximum usage out of your undaunted passives while still using the post important medium armor passives. As for weapons, you will be using dual wielded daggers (night mother's set) and a bow (no set) for your poison and aoe. The daggers need to be crafted with the precise trait for more crit chance as well as the bow. Combined with this gear you will need to wear a full set of agility jewelery.

Enchantments:

All of your gearpieces should be enchanted with stamina enchants to enlarge your pool as much as possible. Your main-hand dagger should be enchanted with a weaponpower enchant to boost your damage while your off-hand dagger needs a poison enchant to pair up with your poison skills. The enchant on your bow is not mandatory but while you're at it your can enchant it with poison damage. As for the jewels, you should enchant them with weapon damage.

Mundus stone:

This comes down to your preference but in my opinion it is best to use either Thief, Warrior or Serpent (Thief being my favorite). I think that Thief is the way to go because all of your AoE
damage will benefit from this.

Rotations:

As with every build, you will have to play enough with it to get a feel for the rotations but I can atleast get you started. The rotation that I like to use is: Caltrops, scorched earth, igneous weapons, poison injection, flames from oblivion, burning breath (noxious breath after dark brotherhood dlc), unstable flame (venomous claw after dark brotherhood dlc) and then spam flurry. This is the rotation I use for big bosses and when a DOT (damage over time) effect ends, I recast it to maintain high damage. Steel tornado is only used against multiple enemies and is insane paired with the standard of might ultimate. Use your vigor when your healer is having trouble keeping up or spam it when in an emergency. The dawnbreaker ult is almost never used because the standard is way more usefull, but when in dire need of rescources or in an icky situation, you can always use it.

Thank you very much for reading this build-guide and I hope that it helped you. If you have any suggestions on how to improve on the current build, please leave a comment or send me a message :)

Okay so there is no “Edit” option.. the “4th skill” meant to be “Ward Ally”, the tool mixed the order of skills up a bit :/

    hello
    i added 2 builds… well one and a half.
the NIGHT MAGE and the UNDYING BLADE.

i hope some of you like to comment on theese, since its not the old-fashioned and booring DW/Bow-sneaky-creepy-assasin-rouge-style-archetype.

I like my opponents see me comming and my fights long and rewarding.

maybe we find a way to improve it even more, or you see synergies/buffs/things/changes in rotation which i have not.

    cheers

It’s now the middle of 2017. With the newest content of Morrowwind coming out very soon. Anything for the new builds or monster sets?
