Beta Screenshots, Sheogorath, PvE and PvP Video

Here’s another batch of media we recorded during our 72 hour session of Elder Scrolls Online playing during the last beta. I learned how to remove the UI so I have some nicer screenshots that you can even use as desktop backgrounds if you like. This time we have fewer screenshots, but we also prepared something special for Elder Scrolls fans. Time for some Sheogorath goodness. This was always my favorite Daedric prince and I recorded the conversation I had with him the first time I came across him in ESO. Cheese and cabbage for everyone! There is also a PvE video of ending a long quest chain that includes killing a werewolf called Faolchu The Reborn. For the end we have 11 minutes of pure PvP madness in Cyrodiil. That guy at 10:41 almost gave me a hearth attack.

New wave of invitations sent for Teso Beta

eso vanity pet monkeyToday, Bethesda sent another wave of invitations for TESO Beta Weekend, that starts on Friday, February 28, 12PM EDT to Sunday, March 2nd, 11:59PM EDT. The great news is that you can also invite a friend of your choosing to participated in the upcoming ESO Beta test.

Since the NDA is lifted, you can share your adventures, freely publish all your videos, screenshots and impressions online. All of you who have a chance to participate in this beta event, will be able to unlock an exclusive monkey vanity pet at launch.

Separate ESO Subscription will be needed for each platform

ESO subscription

According to a response from Zenimax Online Studious to one TESO fan, multiple ESO Subscriptions will be required for all platforms the game is played on. The only exceptions are PC and Mac platforms which can share one account, but not at the same time.

Explaining this decision, the developer said:

In order to play The Elder Scrolls Online on both PC/Mac and console, players will need to have two separate accounts and subscriptions: one for PC/Mac and one for the console of their choice. Players can use both the PC and the Mac game clients on one account, but an account may only be logged in to one machine at a time. However, console megaservers are separated between PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, so players who want to play on both of those systems will need different accounts (and subscriptions) for each console.

This is the move that the most number of players won’t find surprising even though the decision isn’t too convenient for them.

Beta Screenshots Part 1

Now that the NDA has dropped we can start releasing some of the material that we captured during the beta weekends we participated in. In all honesty, we made these for our own use while playing the game, not expecting to make them publicly available, but now we can share them with the world. I even captured some sweet screenshots as I was preparing content for our Skyshard location database (shots bellow were taken while I was looking for “Adorns Valano’s Terrace Skyshard” in Auridon). This will give you better insight into the world of Tamriel and what it looks like from in-game. We played at 1920×1080 resolution on highest settings and some images have been edited to remove the interface for use as wallpapers. The game has a very distinct feel, not seen in other MMORPGs (but familiar to players of Elder Scroll games). Let us know what you think and we’ll try and release more screenshots. Please keep in mind that all of these were taken during the beta so the end product might look even better.
