ESO Craglorn Beta Skill Calculator (patch 1.1)

Elder Scrolls patch 1.1 that will introduce a new zone Craglorn is currently in beta testing on the Public Test Server (PTS). Patch introduces a lot of bug fixes and changes to current skills. We wanted to give a picture of what the players can expect with this patch by providing you with a skill calculator for all classes with updated skill numbers/descriptions. Bellow you will find the skill calculator to help you browse through updated skills (click on the buttons to see the calculator for different classes), but we also compiled a list of changes we manged to see while building the calculator. We couldn’t gather all the changes so best use our live ESO skill calculator in parallel with the one bellow to see all the changes for yourself. Let us know what you think about the changes in the comment section at the bottom of the article.

NOTE: These changes are in BETA testing. All of this is just preliminary and might change by the time the patch goes live. Do not take these for granted. These are here just for the community to analyze.
NOTE 2: All skill values in the calculator are calculated based on the following character values: 500 Magicka, 500 Stamina, 30 Weapon damage, 30 Spell damage.

Skill changelog is bellow the calculator so scroll down the page to read the changes

Skill Calculator Updated

Our skill calculator has over 4000 submitted builds so far. It is one of the most visited sections of our website. I am guessing that a lot of people find it useful. Still, we were not happy with some of the things in the calculator so we spent some time in the past couple of weeks tweaking and updating stuff in the background. What better time to announce all these changes than patch day and updated skill data?

The biggest change to the calculator that might not be visible right away, but is crucial, is that all calculations of skill values are now based off of the following base values:

Magicka – 500
Stamina – 500
Weapon Damage – 30
Spell Damage – 30

In Elder Scrolls Online some skills do damage or buff players for a certain value and this value is calculated based on the amount of Magicka, Stamina, Weapon Damage or Spell Damage your character currently has. Calculations usually go something like this: (Magicka * x) + (Spell Damage * y) = Skill damage value. Base values used to be different in the previous version of our skill calculator, but now it is the values above. To reflect this change we also added information about what character stat affects skill values when such calculations are applied.

In addition to this we have fixed passive skills to show a different tooltip based on the selected rank of the passive skill. Previously all passive skills were capped at rank 2 and showed the rank 2 tooltip, but now we have made changes for the calculator to be more like the one in the game.

We also updated tooltips for all skills so they show more numbers. Before we had a lot of question marks instead of numbers, but now most of these have been replaced with correct values. There is still a problem with some of the values (especially HOT effects – we are not sure which character stats are used for their calculations), but this is as good as it gets at the moment.

Of course, you probably noticed new features we implemented since the game launched, like the ability to choose and save with your build attribute allocation or the ability to choose a weapon for 1st and 2nd bars. We did not announce these, because we thought them to be obvious, but they are there and available for you to tinker with.

We hope to ultimately achieve a dynamic calculator where you will be able to change the base Magicka, Stamina and Damage values and get dynamically calculated tooltips so you have an ultimate theorycrafting tool at your disposal, but this will have to wait for us to have some more free time. In the meantime, enjoy the current version of our ESO talent calculator.

Patch Notes v1.0.6

During today’s maintenance a new patch will be deployed. It seems to contain a lot of fixes (even more than previous patches) to various quests and progress blocking issues. I can also see some client bugs that caused freezes and crashes fixed. I wonder what “everyone must pay the COD fee to accept COD items” means exactly? Does that mean that the receiver of in-game mail with COD attached is the one paying from now on and is the “tax” shown in the UI before accepting the charge? I guess we’ll all see soon enough.

FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS

Alliance War
General

  • Fixed an issue where new characters of different alliances could get automatically assigned to the same campaign.

Combat & Gameplay
General

  • Fixed an issue that caused some Nightblade abilities to become unresponsive when you were engaged in combat with a large number of enemies.

A Bandit’s Heart Locations Achievement Guide

A Bandit's Heart Achievement

This achievement requires 1 skill point investment in Fighters Guild tree passive – Intimidate. Only then you can extort gold from NPC merchants located in almost every zone in Tamriel. Optional newbie zones, Coldharbour and Cyrodiil are not on the list. Those merchants are not to be mixed with wandering ones, because they have fixed positions and a horse standing beside them. There are several spawn locations on every map and they are always right next to a road, but NPC can be found only on one location and despawns after interaction. You can’t make a fortune out of this achievement though; sums are around 50-60 gold coins.

Keeper of the Flame Locations Achievement Guide

Keeper of the Flame Achievement

Obviously, with this achievement, devs wanted you to feel like Prometheus. Well, you just have to light a fire between two NPCs, literally – not The Doors way , while they argue about it (typical human behavior, innit?). There are a few locations where they can spawn in every zone, except 1-5 zones, Coldharbour and Cyrodiil, all next to main roads. Also, they disappear 1-2 minutes after you interact with them. Those reasons make it really hard to complete this achievement, while many people are online and playing. The witching hour seems like the best option to find them, if you are not afraid.

Golden Palms Locations Achievement Guide

Golden Palms Achievement

In order to complete this exploration achievement, you have to find a beggar NPC on every map (optional level 1-5 zones are excluded, Cyrodiil and Coldharbour as well). NPC can be male or female, wearing rags, with the follower icon above their head. There are multiple spawn locations on every map and all are beside roads with no hostiles near that point, but only one NPC can exist in one zone at any given time. Also, NPC despawns a few minutes after any interaction (logging out definitely does that) and that makes it even harder to find a beggar in peak hours.

Beautiful Eastmarch

Eastmarch is a zone that Ebonheart Pact members get to visit around level 35. It is very well known to players of the Elder Scrolls series because it is part of the Skyrim map and home to Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak. I am currently playing a Nord Dragonknight and a few days ago I managed to fully complete Eastmarch. After letting my impressions settle for a while I must say that Eastmarch was, for me, by far the best looking land I’ve seen and played through so far in ESO.

I loved the quests as well and some of them were really among the best quest lines in the game and the Elder Scrolls series (for me at least). I also had that great moment when I entered a very important place and said to myself: “I’ve seen this before”. It was a place of power I visited during my adventures in Skyrim (part of the main story there as well) that managed to get stuck in my mind although it has been a while since I played. Bellow are some screenshots of Eastmarch that might better show the beauty of this zone. If roads ever take you towards Skyrim make sure you stop by for a pint (or three) of mead in Eastmarch.

What’s your favorite zone and screenshot so far in ESO?

Patch Notes v1.0.5

This is the second patch deployed this week and it focuses on fixing a lot of progress blocking quest bugs. It should also help with long loading times when changing instances that some of us have been experiencing. If you play as part of the Ebonheart Pact and are in Eastmarch you will be glad to know that Ashmalah has been found and will now spawn! Here go the patch notes:
