ESO Quests Database

es quest db screenshot

We are proud to announce that we have made available our Elder Scrolls Online quests database. This is a searchable list of all quests found in ESO. We provide basic information about each quest, like quest level, zone, text and objective information. What sets our database apart is that some of the quests also contain starting NPC information as well as map marked location of where the quest starts in certain zones. We went one step further and provided full screenshot walkthroughs and guides for some of the quests (like Izad’s Treasure and Rending Flames) so if you get stuck while adventuring we hope these guides will help you resolve their problems quicker. If there are quests you would like us to provide guides for please leave a comment on quest’s page and we’ll attempt to accomodate you once the game launches and we have access to its content. We will try and provide starting location and NPC information for as many quests as we can, but since this is all manual work it might take a few weeks to enter all the information we collected during the beta period. Any suggestions and feedback are welcome, but in the meantime feel free to browse our Quests Database.

UPDATE: We managed to update the quests database with quest type data so you can now find all quests related to the Main Story or to the Mage and Fighters Guild.

ESO AMA on reddit

eso reddit ama

For all of you who didn’t have a chance to join the ESO team on a special Reddit AMA today, we summarized the most important answers in the list below:

Your beta account is your live account, you won’t need to create a new one when the servers go live on the 30th (for pre-purchasers).
Also, if you have been in the beta and are going to play when ESO launches, don’t uninstall the game – when the servers go live, just run the same patcher as you always have, and any delta files will be downloaded from there. You don’t need a clean install. This will save you lots of time over completely re-downloading the game.

How to Reset Skills in ESO

One of the most asked questions during the beta was how to respec my skills or how to reset my character attributes in Elder Scrolls Online. Due to only the first couple of zones being available during stress tests and only the last beta giving access to the tier 3 zone many people started thinking there is no way to respec in this game. Luckily for us they were wrong. There are conditions that need to be met for you to be able to respec though. You will have to be able to reach the tier 3 zone of your faction. Aldmeri Dominion will have to go to the Elden Root in Grahtwood zone. Daggerfall Covenant members will have to visit the city of Wayrest in Stormhaven zone. Those loyal to the Ebonheart Pact have to visit Deshaan and its main city Mournhold. You can reach these zones with a lower level character if you are careful and keep to the main road. This exploration might even net you some extra discovery experience.

Inside each of these cities you can find Rededication Shrine POIs. This is where you’ll find three shrines. One is used to reset your skills, one resets your attributes (magicka, stamina, health point distribution) and the shrine of Mara lets you use Ring of Mara to “Espouse your beloved”. There is a monetary cost for resetting either skills or attributes. This cost is equal to the number of skills/attributes that you are resetting and it is 100 gold pieces per point (I’d like to thank PETER GROSS for pointing that out in the comments section) goes up with the number of respecs you previously did and scales up with the level of your character. If you made a mistake early on (around level 10) and want to try another build or attribute distribution you can do this for around 1400 gold pieces. At higher levels the cost is considerably higher. At higher levels, though, you have access to so many skyshards and skill points from quests that you should be able to max out pretty much your whole skill tree. Just in case you made a royal mess of your skill choices you will still have the ability to reset them and start over. Here’s a short video showing map locations of all three Rededication Shrines.

Grahtwood, Stormhaven, Deshaan Skyshards and more for final beta

final eso beta

We are several hours away from the last beta test of Elder Scrolls Online before the game launches in two weeks. We have been very busy preparing content and guides that we hope will make some of the tasks during this beta easier. Here’s a comprehensive list of new things you might find useful while exploring Tamriel during this beta weekend.

Grahtwood, Stormhaven and Deshaan will be playable this weekend. These are all level 16-23 zones for each of the factions and are seen for the first time in the beta. We prepared Skyshard location guides with screenshots and exact map locations for each of the zones.

We also updated our ESO Skill Calculator with new data and abilities. You can now pick skills for two different weapon sets. You get the ability to have two weapons sets at level 15 and you can pick and choose your skills in our calculator and assign them to weapon set one or two (W1 or W2) based on what play style each weapon set represents. We had several hundred builds submitted to the website so you might want to browse through those to see how other players are planning to build their characters. As an extra bonus we updated tooltips to show what bonus morphing a certain skill will provide. Look at the green text bellow a morph to help you decide easier which morph to choose.

Don’t forget to check out our Tips and Tricks article to learn some things that might help your game experience be more enjoyable.

We started compiling guides to help you find Treasure maps in the game and the first of those are Bleakrock Isle and Auridon Treasure Map guides. These maps are random drops from chests or mobs and they give you hints on finding a hidden treasure. These are fairly hard to find and spot so in order to help you we decided to compile guides for each zone and each treasure map.

We hope you enjoy this final beta weekend in Elder Scrolls Online and the content we prepared for you and hope to see you in Tamriel on April 4. 2014.

ESO Bleakrock Isle Treasure Map Guide

There are two treasure maps and additional CE treasure map on Bleakrock Isle. Considering this is a small island it is obvious why it is the case. Players can acquire map as random mob drops, from unlocked chests and etc. As soon as you acquire one of the treasure maps, its location on the map becomes covered with dirt mound, and only player who has the treasure map can see it. When you find it, you are suppose to dig it out. Hidden Treasures are bonus loot, that usually contain a green or blue item among other goodies.

ESO Auridon Treasure Map Guide

Auridon area hides six Treasure Maps and additional Auridon CE Treasure Map which is available as pre-purchase bonus. The most common ways to acquire maps are listed below:

  • random loot from mobs
  • random loot from locked / unlocked chests
  • you can buy them from a guild store

Once you acquire a map, its location will become visible only to you, but you have to figure out where it is, by using a treasure map sketch as a hint. This sketch is a similar replica of the area surrounding a spot where you should dig out a treasure chest. The place where the chest is hidden is always covered with dirt mound.

ESO Deshaan Skyshards Location Map

Deshaan is a level 17-23 zone for Ebonheart Pact. There are sixteen skyshards scattered around the map and we have created guides with screenshots and map locations for each and every one of them. This zone will be available for exploration for the first time (outside the closed beta) during the final stress beta on March 14. 2014. As you fight the disease plaguing Desahaan feel free to explore this beautiful land and in the process collect some shards to increase your skill points.
