On An Unsteady Ledge, Buffeted By The Desert Wind Skyshard

Guide:
The desert wind in the title is referring to the Desert Wind Caverns, a solo delve in the northwestern central part of Elsweyr. It is south from the Prowl, west from the Bone Pit group bosses, northeast from the Stitches settlement and its Wayshrine, north from the Orcrest public dungeon. There is a small entrance to the delve in the mountain range, south from the nearby ruins.

“These extensive subterranean halls date back to the early First Era time of Darloc Brae, the “Golden Beast” who conquered all of Anequina. Khajiiti tradition holds that this place was built as a refuge for those fleeing the Golden Beast, but its original name has been forgotten.”

The unsteady ledge that hides our skyshard can be seen from the entrance, as you get into the first main room. It is on your right, next to some stone pillars. However, you can’t climb on it. At least I wasn’t able to. Instead, you have to go left from it, down the path, up the stairs on the right, into the hallway and into the cave to your right shortly after. Follow this path, passing by a large temple on your right, until you reach that very unsteady ledge from the start. I am not sure if the enemies that follow you to this spot have any kind of pushback abilities, but it would be something I would give them as a developer. Be sure to clear them out instead of gambling with the possibility of being pushed back to the start.

Tucked Away On The Highest Scarp Of Predator Mesa Skyshard

Guide:
Predator Mesa is a delve on the western edge of the map. The best way to get there would be by way of the Stitches wayshrine. Teleport there, then head northwest, across the Nightmare Plateau. You’ll reach the delve before you know it.

“Since time out of mind, the hunters of Northern Elsweyr have gone to Predator Mesa to test their skills against the region’s most dangerous wildlife. Those who succeed are said to be favored by the Hungry Cat.”

Predator Mesa has been a proving grounds for Elsweyrian hunters since time immemorial. It’s the home of the province’s most dangerous beasts, and those who manage to overcome the challenge are said to be favored by the Hungry Cat.

Once you’re in, head to the northern edge of the area. There’s a plateau you can climb by following a mountain path. When you get there, you’ll see the skyshard glowing on the left. Make sure you stop and enjoy the view before you leave – you can see the entire boss arena from here, in all its architectural splendor.

On An Oil-slick Island In Darkpool Mine Skyshard

Guide:
Darkpool Mine is a delve in the southwestern part of Elsweyr. You’ll find it north of the Scar’s End wayshrine, west of Talon Gulch. The best way to get there would be to simply follow the road north from the aforementioned wayshrine.

“These pits were originally carved out as salt and sulfur mines back in the days of the terrible Darloc Brae, who dedicated the digs to his Daedric patron, Merrunz. Abandoned for generations, the mines were recently reopened.”

After you pass the crossroads, head left towards the foot of the mountain. The mine’s entrance is relatively hidden – there are some trees blocking the view, and the lower elevation doesn’t help either. Once you’re in, head to the chamber in the middle of the cave. When you enter it, you’ll notice a pond and a big statue of a kneeling Khajiit. The skyshard will be on an island in the pond – the glow makes it hard to miss.

The mines have been used to gather salt and sulfur, which sounds pretty hellish if you ask me. They were dug out during the reign of Darloc Brae, and were dedicated to one of the Daedra, which makes the whole thing even more hellish. Abandoned at some point in the province’s history, they were recently reopened. Scary place, but the skyshard is incentive enough to visit it.

Hidden In The Tangle Undergrowth Skyshard

Guide:
The Tangle is a delve that sits on the eastern edge of Elsweyr. You’ll find it about haflway between the Tenmar Temple wayshrine in the southeast and Hakoshae wayshrine in the east. Spawn at either of these and follow the road towards the other one.

“In times of war and disaster, the ruthless among the deserters often turn to banditry to survive, establishing lairs and hideaways in out-of-the-way locations.”

When you reach the cave, go inside and head into the chamber in the southwestern corner of the delve. There’s a tiny oasis there and a hole in the roof of the cavern. You’ll find the skyshard among the foliage.

According to the loading screen snippet, the Tangle used to serve as a hideout for bandits and deserters in less-than-fortunate times. Thankfully, there’s none of that now, and there isn’t even an echo of evil-doers inside. However, there’s a fair amount of senche-lions and other beasts, so keep on your toes. There’s a handful of them in the same room as the shard, and you’ll have defeat them in order to grab it.

Protected By The Armored Guardians On The Serpents’ Tomb Skyshard

Guide:
The Serpent’s Tomb is a delve located in northern Elsweyr, between the Riverhold settlement to the west and Rimmen to the east. There is also the Sandswirl Manor locale to the east, and Hill of Shattered Swords to the west, with the closest wayshrine being in Riverhold.

In this part of the map, you’ll notice there are side paths that form away from the main road, each leading to one place of interest. One of them leads toward the Tomb of the Serpents, your current goal. The delve is inside the hole at the end of the path. The quest giver is in front of the entrance. Kiseravi is scavenging some crates, but will give you a new task if you are willing to help out.

“When the Second Empire fell, many Akaviri-descended Imperials fell with it. As scapegoats for the excesses of the Potentates, they were denied burial lin Cyrodiil, but were granted this tomb in Elsweyr to inter their honored dead”.

The armored guardians that protect the shard are in the westernmost part of the delve. Like in most of these cases, you’ll have to follow the path to the left once you get inside. As you enter the fourth room, you’ll spot four pillars that hold the ceiling. There is a minotaur at the center of the room, but you can avoid it entirely if you wish. The Awakened Sharpshooters near the walls will not be that easy on you, and you’ll need to deal with them in order to use the skyshard.

This place is also part of the Mural Mender achievement journey – it’s where you’ll pick up your first fragment. The four guardians near the library will not attack. They will protect the fragment you can only see when you have the related quest, but that is another story…

Overlooking The Oleander Coast Winery Skyshard

Guide:
The Oleander Coast Winery is found in the western part of Summerset, in the northern part of the town of Alinor, south from Alinor Docks, and the Cey-Tarn Keep Wayshrine.

The Winery is near the entrance to Alinor, and it’s easy to spot it if you follow the road into town from the north. It is the one with the blue rooftop tiles, and a large front yard where the busy workers are making wine.

The Skyshard that is overlooking the Oleander Coast Winery is behind this building. Although it is on a plateau, it is blocked by a large tree. Simply go behind this Winery, and you’ll be able to spot and collect it, acquiring that precious skill point part.

Among a nest of stone eggs east of Cey-Tarn Keep

Guide:
Cey-Tarn Keep is located in the southeastern part of Summerset, north from Alinor and its Wayshrine, south from Alinor Docks. The nest of stone eggs makes this location memorable.

If you came from the east, passed Russafeld Wayshrine and Rellenthil, you should head south and follow the river deeper into the territory. It will be your guide, and should help you make sense of the surroundings. Although it doesn’t seem like it, this area has a lot of wide open spaces, full of trees, boulders, and water. It would be a bit difficult to stay on track here, if it weren’t for the map.

If you’ve been following the river from the north, at one point you’ll get close to one of the hill rises. This one is a bit specific, as it has a tall tree with a Skyshard next to it. It is placed among the egg-shaped stones, next to the flower bed. A rather neat looking site right there. It gets even more astounding as you pan your view up, toward the Cey-Tarn Keep in the distance. It looks like it was built in the clouds.

On a tiny peninsula beneath the Cathedral of Webs

Guide:
The Cathedral of Webs is a place of interest in Northwestern Summerset. This striking locale is north from the town of Lillandril and its wayshrine. There is a road leading right to it, and you can’t miss it if you go north from Lillandril, right past the Queen’s Hatchery world boss.

The tiny peninsula mentioned in the name is west from the Cathedral of Webs. If you get close to the edge of the hill there, you’ll spot it in the distance, between two tall trees. The trick with this one is that it is found on a higher platform. You need to find a way to jump on it from the platform above it.

Backtrack a bit from the road that leads to the Cathedral of Webs. Pan your view up and find a rock that is above the path. Use this rock to get to the highest platform, the one with the large tree on it. From this place, make your way down. The second lowest platform is where the tiny peninsula Skyshard lies, waiting for brave adventurers to share its wisdom with.

4.

Along the beach north of Karnwasten

Guide:
Karnwasten is a public dungeon in the far north of Summerset. This dungeon has two entrances – luckily for us, the one we need is marked on the map. It is further to the west, north from Illumination Academy, King’s Haven Pass and the Crystal Tower Wayshrine.

“Along the beach” in its name reveals where exactly we have to look it for. This is fortunate, as this area is rather narrow, and you can’t see far ahead.

Once on the beach, there is not much to see – it is a rather barren place with not much life. Following the shore north, pass the Karnwasten dungeon entrance, and soon enough you’ll get to the point where one Reef Viper protects a shiny thing on the beach. It is our Karnwasten beach Skyshard.

5.

At a camp across a narrow plank walkway

Guide:
To reach this one, you’ll need to make a voyage to the northernmost part of Summerset. It is somewhere between King’s Haven Pass Wayshrine to the south and Veyond Wyte Wayshrine to the north.

The camp mentioned in the name is nowhere to be found at the places of interest, making this the one you’ll most probably miss.

As you find yourself on the northeastern shore of Summerset, you’ll spot a small wooden bridge above you. This is where you should train your sights. If you came from the south, it means you have to travel more to the north, until you reach a part of the shore where you can turn left and climb the hill. Now, go back south and continue up until you spot that wooden plank of a bridge. Carefully walk over it and proceed toward the other side – if you fall down, you’ll have to backtrack quite a bit. At the end of a narrow plank there is a skyshard at a camp.

6.

In the mouth of the falls overlooking Shimmerene

Guide:
Shimmerene is a town in eastern Summerset. It is somewhere between the Shimmerene Wayshrine to the south, and Elbur Ruins Wayshrine to the north.

This is probably one of the easiest ones to find. All the clues are mentioned in its name, and there is not much to hide here. If you zoom in the map northwest from the Shimmerene, you’ll spot a small area of water. Head toward this spot.

As it is overlooking Shimmerene, climbing here won’t be that easy. In general, if you are following the nearby road, just make a small detour toward this watery part of the map. As you get close to it, you’ll see water coming out of the ground near the large boulder. It fills up a small pond next to it, making it a grand place to get away from the summer heat. Next to this water source, in the Mouth of the Falls, is the Skyshard. Looking down at the town, you can make some memorable screenshots. At least that what I’ve done, more than once. There are so many unexpectedly beautiful areas in the zone.

At the ruins of the Keep of the Eleven Forces

Guide:
Found in the eastern part of the island, southeast from Shimmerene and its wayshrine, within an area of the interest called exactly the same as the second part of the clue.

It is rather easy to spot this one from the side of the road. The starting main quest even takes you toward this location, making it super easy to find. Its light is hard to miss, as you climb up the stairs to go on your way.

As you get close to this Place of Interest, you’ll notice there is a small bridge leading to a circular tower. Use the stairs to get on the other side of the bridge, and just proceed toward this tower. The ruins mentioned in the name become more clear as you get to the end of the bridge, where the skyshard is located next to some debris.

8.

Along the sun’s path toward dusk

Guide:
You’ll find this one on the southeastern part of the main island, south from Eastern Pass Wayshrine and Sil-Var-Woad Wayshrine.

Our task would have been a lot easier if the person charged with giving out clues would’ve added Sunhold and Dusk Keep in the name. These two places of interest reveal where you should look. Sunhold is a public dungeon in southern Summerset. The Dusk Keep is a bit harder to find, as it is on the southernmost point of the island.

If you look at the main map, you can see there is a large island next to the southeastern coast. Get to this island, the one that has the Sil-Var-Woad Abyssal Geyser at its north, and proceed toward its southern end. This is where you’ll find the skyshard, on a white, coral, stone formation. Hunting for it during the night is a lot easier, due to the surroundings. There is a large boulder blocking the view from the island, which may hinder your sight if you come from there.

9.

South of Russafeld, Where the mossy archer’s aim flies true

Guide:
Russafeld is a farm in central Summerset, close to the Russafeld Heights Wayshrine, west from the town of Shimmerene. It’s easy to miss, as this is the only place of this kind on the entire map, and due to its position, you are most likely to pass it by.

If you look at the map, south of Russafeld there is a set of three small ponds, near the north part of the mountain. You’ll have to climb on top of this tall plateau. Once you’ve succeeded, you’ll spot the tall waterfall powering these small ponds. The very first one hides the skyshard. Although this is a pretty well hidden place, as you get close to it, you can’t really miss the light from the shard that’s lighting up the area. There is a ruined house nearby, but the best marker you can use to guide you is the waterfall. Just keep an eye on it, and you’ll find that 1/3 of the skill point right there.

10.

Under Sea Keep’s towering fortifications

Guide:
The location of the Sea Keep is in western Summerset, east from the town of Lillandril and its wayshrine. You’ll find it north from the huge Alinor Docks.

As you approach the Keep by following the northern road, you’ll come in contact with a small camp first. This camp is set in front of the Sea Keep’s gate. This gate will be closed, and you won’t be able to open it from this side. Luckily for us, we don’t need to have it open. Behind this closed gate is a bridge that leads into the Keep.

Our goal is under the large Keep’s northern bridge – Under Sea Keep’s Towering Fortifications. Drop down from this peak, and find your way under the bridge. Although you can say this is somewhat well hidden, due to the fact that this area is not something you can picture yourself exploring, with the knowledge of its location you can now spot it without difficulty. The Sea Keep’s Skyshard is next to one of the two bridge pillars.

11.

Among the shanties in Karnwasten’s cove

Guide:
Karnwasten’s Cove is a public dungeon located in northern Summerset. It has two entrances, one on each side of the Crystal Tower in this zone. The western entrance is a bit easier to find, as it is close to the road in this area, north from the closest Crystal Tower Wayshrine, Corgrad Wastes camp and more. The eastern entrance is located at the northernmost part of Summerset. There are no roads leading here, but there is one Wayshrine called Veyond Wyte, if you ever want to have a shortcut to this part of the map.

“The most rigid and hidebound societies conceal the most illicit activity just below the surface. If you have tariffs and duties, you also will have smugglers who evade them. If one squeezes hard on a bladder wine-sack, the wine must spurt out somewhere, yes?” – Razum-dar

If you are bound to enter the dungeon from the western entrance, you’ll go through a tunnel in a large boulder, and follow the path toward the dungeon entrance. There is an NPC called Renzir close to it, offering an additional dungeon challenge. There are some vines you have to interact with to enter the delve, not your usual doors.

As you enter Karnwasten, open the map. Somewhere near the center, you’ll spot the large beach area, where the main ship from the loading screen is located. Head toward this place, but be wary of the large number of enemies there. South from the large ship, near the coral pillar, you’ll find the Skyshard among the shanties.

12.

High above the heart of Sunhold

Guide:
Sunhold is a public dungeon in southwest Summerset. The fastest way to get there is to travel south from Shimmerene and follow the only road south, and toward the west. There are three wayshrines on your way down there, and the closest one is the Sunhold Wayshrine. Following the road, you’ll eventually pass the bridge and reach the entrance of the delve. This is the largest dungeon on the island, and it’s hard to miss.

The southern city of Sunhold serves as the home port of Summerset’s famed Dominion Navy. But with the High Elven fleets over the horizon fighting the Alliance War, Sunhold remains virtually unprotected.

As you enter the dungeon, pan your view toward the northwestern part of the city. There are two roads crossing each other. This is our goal, more specifically, the road that goes above the other one. To climb on it, you should aim for the road on the western part of the town. However, this is not that easy to perform if you are there solo. The large number of enemies, their abilities to root and stun, and the narrow roads, make this the toughest shard to reach.

When you reach this path, the one that forms an overpass, you should be careful about the two patrolling groups. Try to survive by beating one, or using whatever is at your disposal to avoid losing a filled shard. Once you are out of danger, pick up the Sunhold Skyshard, and enjoy the look from this peak. It is worth it.

13.

Stuffed in a barrel by goblins in King Haven’s Pass

Guide:
King Haven’s Pass is in the northern part of Summerset. It has two entrances. One is west from the Cloudrest trail, north from Alinor Docks, and east from Lillandril town, with the closest Wayshrine being Ebon Stadmont. The second entrance is northeast from the previous one, close to the road west from King’s Haven Pass Wayshrine, north from yet another dungeon called Eton Nir Grotto. You should ignore this one.

As you get into the area where the western King Haven’s Pass entrance is, you’ll notice a small bridge. It takes you to the mountain, where a single torch illuminates the door. This is where you should proceed through, if you want to enter King Haven’s Pass.

Some say Goblins originated in Summerset, and some say the High Elves brought them here to serve as menials and slaves. They no longer perform those functions, but freed or escaped, Goblin tribes still thrive in the island’s loneliest corners.

While inside King’s Haven Pass, you’ll that one large road leads into a dead end, in the central part. This is our goal. If you’ve entered the dungeon from the western entrance, all you need to do is follow the path on your left. It will take you down the river, over a small bridge, past the waterfall, through yet another door that leads to Coral-Splitter Caves.

Stuffed in a Barrel by Goblins in King Haven’s Pass

14.

Overlooking a sun kissed path in Eton Nir Grotto

Guide:
Eton Nir Grotto is a solo dungeon, positioned in the northeastern part of Summerset. It is somewhere between Eldbur Ruins and its Wayshrine to the south, and King’s Haven pass and its Wayshrine to the north.

The entrance to the Elon Nir Grotto is a bit west from the road in this part of the map, a bit closer to the Cloudrest trail. Make a small detour from the road toward the mountain, and you’ll find it. It is well hidden, in a small mountain range hole, behind some wooden planks and vines.

The gleaming city of Cloudrest crowns the Eton Nir massif, the greatest mountain on Summerset Isle. But dark rumors say the mountain’s greatest treasures lie hidden in the caves beneath its stony foundations.

Once inside the dungeon, you’ll notice there are many holes in the ceiling, letting that sun shine upon parts of the cave. The one part we are after, is located in the western area of the cave. There is a small room between the ones on the north and south. Head there, and soon enough, you’ll see the area overlooking a sun kissed path and a Skyshard. Although there are many places like this, this kind of scenery always astounds me.

15.

At the mouth of the falls in Archon’s Grove

Guide:
Archon’s Grove is a solo dungeon, found in the southeastern portion of Summerset’s main island, just south from the Shimmerene town and its wayshrine, and also straight west from the Sil-Var-Woad Wayshrine.

If you pay attention to the map, you’ll see a single small lake in this area. Just west from this small body of water, you’ll find a small staircase with a couple of pillars, leading you into the mountain, and towards the Archon’s Grove entrance. Proceed through the door into the dungeon.

“Archon’s Grove? Indeed, that’s the site where the legendary poet Nenamil, Archon of Song, discovered and named the Rose-of-Archon, the flower precious to the Goddess Mara. It’s said to be southwest of Shimmerene somewhere.” – Inkeeper Vintenwen

As we go inside the dungeon, we should always keep the the left. As the path gets narrower, we come to the end of a river and the start of a waterfall. At the very edge of this waterfall, on top of a small rock, you’ll find the Archon’s Grove Skyshard location. Don’t miss the opportunity to pan your view upwards, and be amazed by the scenery.

16.

In the caverns of Tor-Hame-Khard

Guide:
Tor-Hame-Khard is a solo dungeon found in the eastern central part of the main Summerset Island. It is just southwest from the Shimmerene town and its wayshrine, south from the Indrik Frolic world boss.

If you zoom in the map on this part of Summerset, you’ll notice there is a dead end road, following the river towards the mountain. It comes out of the circular path. If you follow this exact same path, toward the mountains, at one point you’ll notice some grand ruins, with a lot of stone pillars. The entrance to the solo dungeon is on the second floor, just past three of the fire braziers. There is a Captain Telomure quest giver at the door, giving you some extra experience points upon completion.

In Aldmeric, the name means Warlord’s Mountain Lair, as these vast halls were originally built in the early First Era for the legendary Prime Battlereeve Fiirfarya. One morning the estate’s entire populace was found slaughtered, and thereafter the site was abandoned.

The layout of the Tor-Hame-Khard dungeon can be a bit confusing at times. Our goal is to reach the southern part of the area, where the tunnels are. To do so, without too much wandering, keep to your right as you go inside the dungeon, until you reach the second floor. From there, you should continue toward the southeastern part, where the tunnels start. You can spot it from afar by its unusual shape that stands out from the rest of the dungeon. Go through this entrance, and head to the second large room. If you keep an eye on your right, you can spot the Tor-Hame-Khard Skyshard in the northern corner of the cave room, just next to the strange rock formation.

17.

Near an angler’s favorite fishing spot in Wasten Coraldale

Guide:
Wasten Coraldale is a solo dungeon, found at the western shores of Summerset, north from Alinor, west from Alinor Docks, Cey-Tarn Keep and its Wayshrine.

Wasten Coraldale doesn’t have your typical delve entrance. Instead of the boring wooden doors, this time you’ll have to use a small boat on the shore. It is the only one close to the long dock, and it’s hard to miss. There is a Hiranesse NPC next to it, and she offers a delve related quest as well. Get to the boat, and press the appropriate button to travel to the island.

The offshore island of Wasten Coraldale – or Coridale, as the fisher folk call it – contains a wild honeycomb of tunnels and fertile grottoes where sea creatures of all sorts spawn and thrive. It’s heavily fished for that reason, despite its many dangers.

Once inside the delve, you’ll want to leave the starting tunnel. Keep going until you “see” the light. This is where you’ll spot a large ship in the distance. Keep going toward your left, until you reach the shore. At the corner of the beach, among many trees, close to the mountain edge, is where the Wasten Coraldale Skyshard lies.

18.

Looming over the center of the Traitor’s Vault

Guide:
To reach this skyshard, you need to progress with the first Summerset main quest, The Queen’s Decree. At one point in this quest, you’ll be able to reach the Artaeum map and its solo dungeon, called Traitor’s Vault.

If you’ve already completed the quest, you’ll need to get back to the Keep of the Eleven Forces, located just south from Shimmerene. This is where the portal to Artaeum is now unlocked. Go through it and head left – west shortly after. You’ll soon reach a part of the compound where a blue light illuminates the entrance to the Traitor’s Vault. Go through it.

Based on the quantity of moldering ruins on Artaeum, once there must have been many more Monks of the Psijic Order than are present today. This hall looks to have been abandoned more recently than most.

In the delve, follow the path to your right at all times. This path will take you to the top floor, and the ruined part of the pathway, where a Bone Colossus defends the Skyshard that is looming over the center of the Traitor’s Vault.

On A Tiny Peninsula Beneath The Cathedral Of Webs Skyshard
